Background

Bio:

Hildegard was stolen from her parents, who were traveling traders, when she was fairly young, and sold into slavery. For awhile she was a house servant for an aged nobleman, but as she grew, and her beauty became apparent, she was sold again to a tavern of ill-repute. There she was forced to work as a courtesan. Made to serve all customers she grew cold at heart and developed an icy aura that only served to enhance her beauty. To make her more attractive to customers she was trained in the art of music and it was found that she excelled at playing the harp. This new skill was trained further until she could charm any customer she wanted. One day a very wealthy patron, who wished to show his appreciation gave her a gift of a small harp he bought for her in the market. Neither of them realized that this harp was a Harp of Charming, though Hildegard slowly learned of it’s powers. This gave her a great opportunity which she seized upon, and, one day she charmed her keepers and escaped, leaving behind only a small fire, which consumed the building. Fearing being caught by authorities, or worse, she fled from the city to the countryside, her beauty as cold as her heart.
